Today is a very important and exciting day for Tulip. Salesforce has announced that Salesforce Ventures, the company’s global corporate investment group, has made an investment in Tulip as part of launching the Canada Trailblazer Fund, a $100 million fund to invest in innovative Canadian companies. prnewswire.com/news-releases/salesforce-ventures-introduces-100-million-canada-trailblazer-fund-300641650.html
Here at Tulip, we have a massive mission to transform retail and re-invent the shopping experience. Over the past months, I’ve been spending time with the Salesforce retail leadership team and the more we’ve talked, the more we realized how aligned our long-term vision is for the future of retail. In fact, we already share a number of customers, and we’ve been working with Salesforce since 2016. Our existing relationship has enabled us to expand our business faster and maintain a rapid pace of growth. This new investment will strengthen that relationship and expand our access to the Salesforce ecosystem.
People who know Tulip know that our focus is on improving store experiences by connecting disjointed backend retail systems so that retailers can deliver the transformative in-store retail experiences that customers demand. A key part of our success is getting valuable customer and product information that often resides in CRM and eCommerce systems to the frontline workers. We’ve worked with Salesforce to integrate with Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud to deliver simple-to-use apps for store associates to look up products, manage customer information, check out shoppers, and personalize the customer experience. In fact, many of our customers like Coach, Tory Burch and Kate Spade already use both Tulip and Salesforce to elevate the shopping experience, increase sales and improve customer service.
Along with the investment announcement, Tulip is also announcing, for the first time, our standardized Salesforce Commerce Cloud connector and presence on the Commerce Cloud Partner Marketplace.
We have standardized connectors and cartridges that integrate with Salesforce and enable a retail store associate to access product and customer data for assisted selling, clienteling, endless aisle, and communication. The Tulip platform can integrate with the Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud platforms to deliver a complete omnichannel solution for retailers. It synchronizes data between Salesforce systems and our own database to make the data accessible to end users through our mobile apps. This joint pre-integrated solution is ideal for retailers already using Salesforce.
Bottom line, we look forward to the future with Salesforce and executing our joint mission to transform retail and deliver world-class omnichannel experiences. For retailers that already use Salesforce, our integration and connectors will deliver innovative capabilities, minimize the cost of leveraging Salesforce data in Tulip, and expedite time-to-value for new in-store solutions!
